McDonald's all-day breakfast: Company considering all-day breakfast, delivery

McDonald's all-day breakfast: Company considering all-day breakfast, delivery, McDonald's has already seen their dollar menu fail to pick up sales, and now they're contemplating some new innovations that the company has never done before.

The Huffington Post reported on Friday, April 26, 2013, that McDonald's is considering starting an all-day breakfast, customer loyalty rewards, and even a possibly delivery service as well.

Don Thompson, McDonald's President and CEO, told CNBC that the company "has looked at breakfast across the day" and "innovative ways" to expand hours in the United States. Other countries already see a McDonald's all-day breafkast.

"I think we'll be seeing some of those things in the near future," he said.

McDonald's is also testing delivery options overseas and in a few unnamed U.S. cities. Burger King is currently delivering in a number of major cities including San Francisco and Houston.

In the past, McDonald's has thought about an all-day breakfast menu, and it even appeared it would truly happen, but then there were setbacks.

As of now, it isn't clear as to whether or not the McDonald's all-day breakfast menu and delivery will ever go into full force across the United States, but it is a possibility. Customers have wanted it, and the company knows they've been "a little late" for take-out and the opportunity is there for the taking.
