Three Boston Bombing Suspects Taken Into Custody

Three Boston Bombing Suspects Taken Into Custody, Three more Boston bombing suspects were taken into custody today, authorities confirm, but little is known about who the men are or what their specific connection to the attack may be.

According to Boston Police, three arrests were made of additional Boston bombing suspects this morning, and details are “to follow” following the update.

It is believed the Boston bombing suspects were arrested in relation to suspicion they provided unspecified aid to surviving suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the days after the Boston Marathon attack, though it was not clear what type of activity was involved in the allegation.

The AP reported after the Wednesday morning arrests:

“In a tweet Wednesday morning, the police department says only that three more suspects are in custody and more details will follow. Police spokeswoman Cheryl Fiandaca confirmed the tweet but referred all other questions to the FBI.”

Over on Twitter, BPD social media spokespeople sent the following two tweets to confirm the additional Boston bombing suspect arrests while assuring the public that no threat was present.

Additional information posted by the BPD cryptically read:

“Please be [advised] that there is not threat to public safety. Three additional suspects have been taken into custody in connection to the attack on the Boston Marathon. Aside from the aforementioned, there is no additional info to release at this time. Additional details will be provided when they become available. No info available at this time relative to a press conference.”

Police did not immediately say when additional information on the Boston bombing suspect arrests would be disclosed nor was a press conference scheduled definitively.
