FBI Boston boat: Boston Marathon suspect's hiding place moved to storage by FBI

FBI Boston boat: Boston Marathon suspect's hiding place moved to storage by FBI, The infamous boat that housed Boston Marathon suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev for hours and was the scene of a vicious shootout on April 15, 2013, is now going away. The FBI is taking the Boston boat away from Watertown, Massachusetts and taking it to an evidence storage facility, per a Reuters report on Sunday, April 27, 2013.

The boat was simply sitting in the backyard of a man that lived in Watertown, and he thought nothing of it when police said residents could return to their home. The owner saw blood on the side of the boat and that the tarp had been pulled back.

At that point, the owner lifted the tarp and saw a very wounded Tsarnaev. The Boston boat owner alerted police and the stand-off was on. It later ended once Tsarnaev was overtaken by authorities and taken into custody.

While at the scene, the FBI processed the Boston boat for evidence and moved it on Friday to an FBI storage facility. FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller did not disclose the location of the storage.

Other news on Friday is that the FBI finished off the search of a New Bedford landfill. They were looking for evidence connected to the Boston Marathon bombings. There was no word on what was being looked for and if anything was found.

Some believe and have reported that the landfill search was to locate Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's laptop.
