How was Hailey Dunn murdered?, Hailey Dunn case update May 3, 2013: The search for clues in the Colorado City, Tex. teen's murder continues, but officials are keeping mum on the details. However, OA Online reports that there are multiple agencies investigating her death including the Texas Rangers, the FBI and the Scurry County Sheriff's Office. All of the officials associated with the investigation are keeping tight-lipped on all of the evidence in the case -- including the cause of death in Hailey's murder.

Nonetheless, the FBI is requesting the help of the public for tips in this case. KTXS 12 News reports that the FBI won't disclose the number of leads they've garnered in this investigation, but the fact that they are still seeking the public's help in this case is telling. Hailey vanished in December of 2010 and was long speculated to had been victimized by her mother's boyfriend Shawn Adkins.

Hailey Dunn's skeletal remains were located wearing the very same clothing she was reported as wearing when she vanished over two years ago. This indicates that she was murdered that night in December 2010 and was likely always there in the desolate outskirts of Scurry County. How was she murdered? It should be noted that officials have never confirmed that the child was even murdered, but her mother Billie Jean Dunn said so on her Facebook in a status after her remains were confirmed. Does this indicate she knows more than the public?

Billie Dunn and Shawn Adkins both failed polygraph tests over the course of this investigation, and Shawn even once indicated the girl would be found in Scurry County. Officials have not acknowledged whether or not Adkins has been questioned since the confirmation of Hailey's remains, but it's been reported that Billie Jean Dunn has not been questioned.
